LOS ANGELES, CA (July 19, 2011) — Nikki Finke’s Deadline.com, Paramount Digital Entertainment, and Liquid Entertainment announce the upcoming release of the ‘Deadline Hollywood Game’ on Facebook this summer. Check out the full release.
Who’s going to be at Comic-Con in San Diego next week!? Liquid’s upcoming Facebook game, D&D: Heroes of Neverwinter will be playable in booth 3348 (between aisle 3300 and 3200 in the rear of the hall) in the Wizards of the Coast booth.
Everything is a Remix is an unabashed look at the origin of all things. It’s a deeper and truer look at creativity than most creators want to admit or allow. They just put out part 3 of the series, but you can catch up on 1 and 2 at the site also. Give it a look.
From now through October 31, LACMA is presenting “The Fantastical Worlds of Tim Burton” – a tribute to the films and artwork of the director of such prime bits of cinematic quirk as Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Ed Wood, Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland.
Feedback has been resoundingly positive for Heroes of Neverwinter, Liquid’s and Atari’s new Facebook D&D game. Throughout the show the booth had a steady stream of D&D fans who left as converts as our super staff of demo-ers showed them the game one by one. People were particularly impressed with depth of the game, something lacking in many of Facebook’s other offerings.
Atari was incredibly enthusiastic about the game’s performance on the floor which is wonderful for our ongoing relationship with them.
Energy was high throughout. I’d like to extend a very special thank you to the guys and girl who worked the show floor. It isn’t easy, standing all day, talking all day, surrounded by speakers blaring music. Thanks to all of you for making this such a great E3 for all of us!
Day over day sales of DayO continue to impress us. We are especially happy to see sales in Germany, the Philippines, Switzerland, and many others in addition to the US. DayO’s unique presentation of important dates and it’s pleasant presentation seems to be it’s two best selling points.
Outliner by Carbon Fin for iPhone & iPad
I’ve had conversations with several people bemoaning the fact that most task managers don’t provide the ability to “nest” items in a collapsible tree like format. While some do, those that do tend to be missing other significant features.
Enter Outliner. Outliner allows you to set up as simple or complex an outline as you wish. It has numerous options and abilities, a key one for me being the ability to sync to the cloud. They also have a good web version called Outliner Online which I find very handy when I’m at a computer, and this syncs with the portable versions. The app costs $5 for each version but that’s still super cheap compared to what you would have paid for this in the old world of box product.
Give it a look.
The Monolith is HERE!
Shipped from ancient shores by secret messenger… protected by royal guard… unloaded by herculean weight bearers of immense strength… The Thor Hammer Monolith is here! It rests in compact form outside my office, pulsing with energy and carefully waiting for some innocent soul to unpack it.
We are proud to announce the launch of our first iOS app! DayO is a simple and happy reminder program that counts down the days to your special events. For more details, check it out in the iTunes store.
“We are supremely proud of the app and the launch has been astounding. Apple’s process has been smooth and efficient and we’re really happy to expand on to that platform. There is a lot of room for an established game developer to bring high production values and leverage their experience in this market.” – Ed Del Castillo, Pres. Liquid Entertainment
For Liquid, this is not only the launch of a new app but the launch of an initiative to bring a whole world of new experiences to touch devices.
