Paper Galaxy is now on Android devices and available on the Amazon App store and Google Play and iOS App Store!
What started as a labor of love by employees in their off-time has become Liquid Entertainment’s first mobile-only independent release. An indie game with heart, Paper Galaxy is a family-friendly title that offers a charming and challenging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.
Players control Luna, the lost moon, as she hops from planet to planet on her way back home. Each planet helps in its own unique way. Ride a Comet! Get blown away by a Gas Giant! Accelerate to hyper speed on a Ring Planet! But not everyone in the galaxy is so helpful… ornery suns, mysterious black holes and, of course, the cranky Crab Nebula are all out to make sure Luna never makes it back to Mother Earth.
What the Critics are saying:
“The character designs all ooze charm and get helped along by a too-good-to-be-true orchestral soundtrack. However, underneath all of the audiovisual appeal is a challenging gameplay arc.“ – Kotaku

As some of you know, we have been working with Good Old Games to re-release Battle Realms for current gen PC’s. Well, it’s here and the guys over at GOG have done a great job getting this out.
Congratulations to them. All their hard work has paid off.
As many of you know, Battle Realms has always held a very special place in my heart. It was some of the most innovative and creative work that I’ve done and the creation of that universe was all consuming in those days. In many ways, I still think that it’s one of the best RTS’s that money can buy. More than a decade later, there are still very cool things in BR that no one has attempted.
For the price or $9.99 you get not only the original Battle Realms game, but the glorious expansion, Winter of the Wolf. Tell your friends and buy yourself a copy, or ten. Think of it as a Kickstarter where you get the game up front.
All the proceeds that we get from the sales of BR will be used to make more awesome games in the Battle Realms universe.
With your support we can dedicate more and more of the company to making cool Battle Realms RTS’s and stuff.

Hi Again. I really wanted you all to see what we are working on with Battle Realms Genesis (BRG internally) and get your first impressions. So we’ve created a wallpaper gathering an assortment of the cool characters we’re working on! (There are two versions, one for widescreen and one for iPad.)
The wallpapers below are built from characters that are at stage 2 of our character creation process. I wanted to give you an early look. Can you see members of your favorite Clan? New Clans?
There are four steps to our ideation process for characters & cards. First we sketch it out. This is super loose and only meant to convey the pose and defining characteristics of the character. Once we like the sketch, we make a tighter black & white version. This helps us understand tones, color values, and readability.
I should mention that the appearance of a character in these wallpapers is not a guarantee that they will be in the game. We fully expect that some characters won’t make the cut for the game’s launch and others might never see their way into the game at all. It’s a natural part of the process. I couldn’t wait to show this to you, and I’m excited to get your reaction to the various characters.
Stay Liquid,
Ed
Back in March, I posted an Open Call for Battle Realms bugs so that we could make a better game. The outpouring of fan love was and still is amazing. Since that time I’ve received hundreds of emails from all over the world about how amazing and awesome the original Battle Realms still is. (to everyone who has written but hasn’t received a response; please be patient, I’m trying to read and personally answer every one and there are lots.) Many of the emails had really great observations about possible bugs and imbalances with the game which were well thought out and equally well articulated. It speaks to how smart the Battle Realms player really is. What brought a tear to my eye was that most of the emails were so full of love for Battle Realms with the most common statement being “don’t change a thing”.
I was blown away. Thank you for writing. It means a lot to me and it means a lot to the team when I share your emails with them.
Now on to the business of the day. As you know we are working on numerous manifestations of the Battle Realms universe and for some time, my pet project has been a Battle Realms combat card game that I could travel with and play anywhere. I’m a big fan of card and board games but miss them because I can’t seem to get a group of people to play as often as I would like. So, some time ago I started thinking about making a card game that would show off the Battle Realms characters, introduce new Battle Realms characters, and showcase and explore the Battle Realms universe.
I wanted it to be a portfolio piece for the world. A place where we could let all of the Battle Realms story binders bubble to the surface in a fun and playable way. Battle Realms Genesis is that game. It’s going to be so cool. I’m really proud of it and can’t wait to show you more. For now, here’s the title page for the prototype we’re building!
Stay Liquid,
Ed

Hi All,
We are getting very close to some exciting news about Battle Realms. It’s been 10 years since we’ve worked on this brand and you fans have been playing all that time. It’s incredible the world wide support we’ve seen for BR and BR:WotW all these years and now we want to open the floodgates to your comments.
We, here at Liquid, are taking stock of everything we want to fix or make better in new versions of Battle Realms and we’d love to hear your suggestions and bug reports. Because this matters so much to me, I’m going to give out a very special email for this. ed@liquid.to This was my email address when we were developing Battle Realms originally and we’ve resurrected it for this special occasion.
So please fans of the game (haters need not apply) please send me your well thought out critiques and known bugs and we’ll add them to our list of things to fix and improve on.
Obviously, we’re just going to ignore anything that’s full of hate or attitude so leave that at home. It’s a lot easier for us to hit “delete” than it is for you to type your rant. We’re looking for people who would genuinely like to see the next great Battle Realms RTS and want to lend us their knowledge from years of playing.
Thank you for your Support

It’s that time of year again, when we reach deep into our closets and pull out our sport coats for the sake of meeting and greeting the coolest people in the game business.T This year Liquid is rocking’ it with a full boat of cool stuff to show! Cross your fingers, my fellow aquarians, and wish the best for Liquid!
Yes, it’s true. After more than ten years since it’s first release in 2001, Battle Realms is working its way to a new release on current gen PC’s.
More details are forthcoming, but Liquid is in talks with providers to bring BR back to RTS fans everywhere.
Stay Tuned for more news.
It’s the end of the year and the Liquid folks are settling down for some much deserved rest and relaxation. The building is quiet and even though we have staff on hand maintaining our Facebook games, it’s a good time to introspect and think about the year.
2011 was an epic year for us. It will go down in history as the year we added incredible amounts of knowledge to our existing skill set. The entire company is now well versed in creating, growing, and maintaining Facebook games and a couple of teams are completely up to speed on mobile game development. Our production speed has improved drastically. I have a shelf where I keep all the games I’ve worked on in my career – 24 in total over the course of 20 years – but those are just the box products. In the last year we’ve also made 3 Facebook games. The pace is so much more gratifying.
The tech team has learned just about everything under the sun, artists have spent as much time in Flash as in Unity and Unreal, and designers have brought their visions to D&D games, rhythm games, and Hollywood mogul games alike. It seems to be Liquid’s blessing to have a wide variety of talent and experience and this year has kept with tradition.
Before I close out the year I just want to say a few big thank you’s.
First, to the staff… Thank you for the time and effort you put towards your work, but more importantly, thank you for the time and effort you put into making Liquid a fun place to be. Thank you for the joy and levity you bring that make hard times easy and the heavy topics light.
Second, to the spouses, significant others, and families… without you, none of this is possible. You soothe the aching brains after a hard day’s work and you refresh and invigorate them to get up and strive for greatness again and again. You are amazing.
Third, our supporters… whether you are a fan of one of our games, a believer in the company, or an admirer or what we are trying to achieve. whether you are a friend, or a shoulder to lean on, or the guy at the taco stand whose really nice to us. There is no better way to say this than, you are the wind beneath our wings.
Last, but certainly not least, our clients… you are the people who challenge us to be greater. Your powerful views inspire us and your ambitions leave us awestruck. We very much appreciate working with you and learning from you.
Thank You all for your contribution to helping make Liquid the dream place it is.
So, what’s up in 2012?
Liquid has been saving it’s pennies and 2012 looks like it just might be the year that we put out our first self funded game! [We put out a non-game app for iOS in 2011 called Dayo - still the most useful app I own] We have three things in various stages of development of which only one has been announced… Battle Realms Alpha [working title]. We will talk in more detail in the coming year, but I can tell you that Battle Realms Alpha will expand the BR world beyond the Clans of the first game and open up other land masses in the world. My hope is that these Liquid owned titles will kindle our fans and reunite us all on the Liquid forums. You will never have a better chance to be heard and be a part of making a cool game than on these projects.
We’ll continue to support and grow Heroes of Neverwinter on Facebook. I love this game. D&D games are always a collaberation between Wizards of the Coast, the publisher, and the developer, but if I have my way, we will continue to expand on this game until it’s the most faithful reproduction of the paper game experience online. Imagine not having to lug around your books; being able to play with your friends anywhere. This is the power of a Facebook game and I would love to bring it to you.
We might just launch a new D&D title. Don’t want to jinx it, but we’re working on something that I have very quickly fallen in love with. We have it running on Facebook and iOS and it’s pretty frickin cool. More on this in the new year.
We will launch a really cool rhythm fighting game on XBLA and perhaps even some other platforms. We’ve been working for most of 2011 with a famous game designer who has decided to privately fund this. We’re waiting for just the right time to announce it so stay tuned.
That’s about all the tactical stuff I can talk about at the moment, so let’s switch over to the strategy.
Even though I love all games, and we at Liquid have built games on PC, console, and mobile without prejudice, I believe that the future is digital distribution. There are so many ways that retail is broken for games that it’s tough to see how they are going to fix it. So, our energy next year will focus on finding partners that believe in online distribution and want to find opportunities there. We’ve already started talking to an exciting list of possible clients and I look forward to talking more about them in the future.
I want Liquid to be the company that brings you fun wherever you are, from the living room, to the boardroom, to the bathroom. As platform agnostic as it can be, and as easy to get as it can be. I want our games to have depth, interestingly varied layers, and choices that matter. In short I want our games to leave you with something. I want them to be memorable.
Happy New Year everyone and see you in 2012!
